9 Best SE Ranking Alternatives in 2026 for Agencies and In-House SEO Teams

The nine SE Ranking alternatives worth looking at are Amadora AI, Search Atlas, Semrush, Rankability, Surfer SEO, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Peec AI, Otterly.AI and SE Ranking itself. SE Ranking is the cheapest way to buy the whole job — rank tracking, site audit, AI visibility, briefs and a WordPress publish button for $129 a month — and most roundups still describe it as the rank tracker it launched as. The friction is who gets to use it: Core is one manager seat across ten projects, and every way to widen that is an annual-billing-only add-on, so client seats cost $69 a month on the Agency Pack and cannot be bought month to month at any price.

All nine, side by side

Nine tools on the five things that decide an SE Ranking evaluation: entry price, engines at that price, how many brands and people the plan covers, how far each carries the work, and whether it sees Google at all. The seats column ends most of these evaluations, SE Ranking’s own included.

Prices come from each vendor’s own pricing page, checked 28 August 2026, and quote the monthly figure where the vendor publishes one. Amadora AI is our product.

Why teams leave SE Ranking

Teams rarely leave SE Ranking over the price, because there isn’t a cheaper way to buy this much. Core is $129 a month for ten projects, 2,000 keywords tracked daily, 100 AI prompts across five surfaces, a 250,000-page site audit and 25 articles through the content editor. What sends people looking is the next line of the invoice. Core includes one manager seat: ten projects, one login. The moment a second strategist joins, or a client asks to see the dashboard, you need the Agency Pack — $69 a month for ten client seats and white-label reporting — sold on annual billing only. So is the API at €39. A monthly subscriber cannot buy either at any price, so adding a colleague means committing for twelve months.

The second reason is what happens after the audit. SE Ranking will tell you a page is missing schema, that internal links point at a redirect chain, that a title is duplicated across four URLs. It will not change any of them. The list is the deliverable, and someone on your team opens the CMS and works through it. Fine for one site; across ten projects on one manager seat it becomes the job. The content editor closes half the gap — a brief becomes an article and the article goes live on WordPress in one click — but the technical half stays manual.

How we compared

We read every vendor’s own pricing page on 28 August 2026 for prices, seats, engines and limits, and ran the same brand through each tool between 14 and 26 August on the same twenty-five prompts. Two records changed during the check: SE Ranking now publishes to WordPress, and Rankability has replaced its per-site pricing with three tiers. Neither is reflected in any roundup currently ranking for this query.

Amadora AI is our product and it ranks first here. Its entry follows the same shape as every other, limitations included, and every tool name links to its own site so you can check the figures. A wider set of tools sits in our roundup of the top LLM monitoring tools.

The nine alternatives, ranked

Ranked for the buyer evaluating SE Ranking: an agency or in-house team that wants Google rankings and AI answers in one platform, has more than one brand to cover, and is counting seats.

01

Amadora AIBest for agencies running Google and AI search across a client roster that need the on-page work applied and proved, not just listed.

Our productRung 7 of 7From $59/moUnlimited brands from $179Google SEO included

Amadora runs a client’s prompts daily against the live ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini interfaces rather than APIs, names the competitor owning the sources each answer trusted, then does the work that closes the gap. Briefs, drafts and landing pages come out white-labelled; on-page changes, schema and internal-link repairs are applied to the site rather than listed for someone else to apply.

Amadora.ai homepage
Amadora leads on finding why a client is not cited, then shipping the fix.
Key features
  • Unlimited brands and unlimited seats from $179/mo, billed monthly, with no per-seat charge.
  • Agents apply on-page work and schema and repair internal links, approval-gated and reversible.
  • Publishes to WordPress and Webflow directly, other platforms via plugin, API and MCP.
  • Search Console connects, so Google rankings and AI citations move in one week-over-week report.
Pricing

Three tiers on Amadora’s pricing page. Starter $59/mo: 15 prompts, one brand, 300 credits. Professional $179/mo: 100 prompts, unlimited brands and seats, 1,000 credits. Agency $499/mo adds white-label, workspaces and API on 3,000 credits. Credits price the deliverables — 200 an audit, 40 a draft, 20 a brief.

Limitations
  • No local grid tracking, and nothing approaching SE Ranking’s 2,000 keywords a day at Core.
  • Classic rank-tracking history is shallow; we did not spend a decade building that archive.
  • Credits are consumed by deliverables, so a heavy content month needs a top-up.

Best for agencies whose month is spent applying fixes rather than listing them, especially anyone who hit SE Ranking’s one-seat ceiling. Not the right call if classic rank-tracking depth is what you are buying — SE Ranking beats us on that and costs less.

02

SE RankingBest for one SEO manager covering ten projects who wants Google, AI answers and the content editor on the smallest possible bill.

Rung 5 of 7From $129/mo1 manager seatGoogle SEO yes

SE Ranking is the best value on this page and most roundups still describe it wrongly. It launched as a rank tracker; it now tracks 100 AI prompts a day across five surfaces, builds content briefs, generates full articles and publishes them live to WordPress, all inside the $129 Core plan. What it does not do is touch the site itself.

SE Ranking homepage
SE Ranking sells SEO, GEO and social in one cross-channel view.
Key features
  • Ten projects on Core and thirty on Growth, so a roster fits without an enterprise quote.
  • AI visibility inside Core: 100 prompts daily across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode.
  • Content Editor builds briefs, AI Writer writes the article, WordPress publishes it live.
  • Rank tracking, 250,000-page site audits and white-label reporting in one login.
Pricing

Core $129/mo, or $103.20 annually: ten projects, one manager seat, 2,000 keywords and 100 prompts daily. Growth $279/mo, or $223.20 annually: thirty projects, three seats. Add-ons are the Agency Pack at $69/mo and the API at €39/mo, both annual billing only, plus AI Search at €79/mo. A 14-day trial runs without a card.

Limitations
  • One manager seat at Core, and client seats only exist inside an annual-billing-only add-on.
  • Nothing is applied to the site — the audit produces a list, and the list is the deliverable.
  • Content is metered in articles: 25 a month at Core, with extras from €39.20 each.

Best for one SEO manager covering up to ten projects who wants the Google half and the AI half on the smallest possible bill and will do the implementation themselves. Not for a team that needs several logins without signing an annual contract.

03

Search AtlasBest for agencies that want the on-page work applied automatically inside a white-labelled client portal.

Rung 6 of 7From $99/moOTTO per siteGoogle SEO yes

Search Atlas answers the complaint that ends most SE Ranking evaluations: its OTTO module applies on-page and technical fixes rather than listing them. Titles, meta descriptions, schema and internal links change on the live site through a script, and LLM visibility, rank tracking and a white-labelled client portal sit in the same platform.

Search Atlas homepage
Search Atlas sells the whole loop: run the marketing, then fix what breaks overnight.
Key features
  • OTTO SEO auto-implements on-page and technical fixes on the live site.
  • LLM Visibility tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode, with Copilot and Perplexity from Pro.
  • White-label client portal with a branded dashboard and custom domain on Agency.
  • Rank tracking and site auditing alongside, so one platform covers both halves.
Pricing

Starter $99/mo: one seat, two LLM Visibility projects. Growth $199/mo: three seats, four LLM projects. Pro $399/mo: five seats, unlimited LLM projects, Copilot and Perplexity. Agency $999/mo: ten seats. OTTO SEO is charged per site on top, $49 to $85 by tier. Seven-day trial.

Limitations
  • OTTO bills per site on top of the plan, so a ten-client roster carries two invoices that scale.
  • Two LLM Visibility projects at $99 is below what a roster needs; the useful tier is $399.
  • No annual discount is published anywhere, so there is no way to trade term for price.

Best for agencies that want the fixes applied automatically inside a platform they can white-label for clients. Not for anyone budgeting a single monthly number, because the per-site OTTO charge moves with the roster.

04

RankabilityBest for agencies with more writers than budget that want briefs published straight to WordPress without a per-seat bill.

Rung 5 of 7From $199/moUnlimited seatsGoogle SEO yes

Rankability rebuilt its pricing this year, dropping the per-active-client-website model for three tiers, and what it kept is the reason to look at it: unlimited seats on every plan, with no per-seat charge anywhere. Briefs, AI-assisted drafting and an AI visibility tracker sit together, and finished work goes out through WordPress, Webflow or a GitHub pull request.

Rankability homepage
Rankability aims its homepage at agencies, and bills by the client website behind it.
Key features
  • Unlimited seats on every tier — the direct answer to a one-seat platform.
  • WordPress publishing, Webflow publishing and GitHub pull requests on all three plans.
  • Content briefs and AI-assisted writing, built for consistency across writers.
  • AI platform tracking by tier: ChatGPT, AI Mode and Claude at Core, eight platforms on Agency.
Pricing

Core $199/mo, or $166 annually, with three projects. Team $399/mo, or $332 annually, with ten projects and Perplexity and AI Overviews added. Agency $799/mo, or $666 annually, with twenty-five projects and eight platforms. Every tier carries unlimited seats; no free trial is published.

Limitations
  • Three projects at $199 against ten at $129 — the worst per-project rate here at entry.
  • The AI visibility side is thin below Agency: Perplexity and AI Overviews arrive at $399.
  • The audit names what is hurting visibility; implementing it is still your team’s job.

Best for an agency with more writers than budget, where per-seat pricing is the line item that keeps growing. Not for a roster of ten or more brands, where three projects at Core makes the arithmetic worse than the tool it replaced.

05

SemrushBest for teams that outgrew SE Ranking’s research data and will pay four times the seat price for depth.

Rung 3 of 7From $199/mo1 domain for AIGoogle SEO yes

Semrush is the upgrade an SE Ranking team buys when the research data stops being deep enough. Its keyword and backlink index is the largest here by a distance, and AI visibility folds into the plan structure rather than arriving as a bolt-on. The catch is the seat and domain arithmetic, which runs the opposite way to SE Ranking’s.

Semrush homepage
Semrush, now an Adobe company, sells visibility across every channel.
Key features
  • The deepest keyword and backlink research on this page, by a wide margin.
  • AI visibility from the $199 Starter tier — 50 prompts and 300 reports a day.
  • ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and further engines by tier, plus an AI-ready site audit.
  • Content optimisation and cannibalisation analysis from Pro+ at $299.
Pricing

SEO $139/mo has no AI search tracking at all. Starter $199/mo, or $165.17 annually, adds 50 prompts a day and one domain for AI brand performance. Pro+ $299/mo covers 100 prompts; Advanced $549/mo covers 200 plus API. Extra users are $45/mo each and white-label reporting is a $20/mo add-on.

Limitations
  • One domain for AI brand performance at entry, against ten projects at SE Ranking Core.
  • Every seat is $45/mo on top, so a three-person team costs more than SE Ranking Growth.
  • Nothing is produced past optimisation guidance, and nothing is published.

Best for a team that outgrew SE Ranking’s research data and has the budget for depth. Not for an agency counting client domains — the Semrush alternatives page works through that arithmetic in full.

06

Surfer SEOBest for writers who want a scoring editor to work inside and treat AI visibility as a second signal.

Rung 4 of 7From $59/mo1 brand workspaceGoogle SEO yes

Surfer is the content half of SE Ranking’s offer, done better and sold separately. Its editor scores a draft against the live SERP as it is written, and auto-optimize rewrites sections to close the gap. Both billing cycles are published, and yearly is exactly 17% cheaper.

Surfer SEO homepage
Surfer now trades as Positive Surfer, leading on Google and AI together.
Key features
  • The strongest real-time content scoring editor here, with auto-optimize built in.
  • AI Search Analytics tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini on Pro.
  • Sold standalone at $158/mo for teams wanting the AI module without the editor.
  • Brand workspaces with tracked pages rather than projects, which suits a single site.
Pricing

Monthly list, with yearly exactly 17% cheaper. Discovery $59/mo covers ten tracked pages and no AI prompts. Standard $119/mo adds 25 prompts refreshed weekly; Pro $219/mo runs 50 prompts daily across five surfaces. Enterprise is $999/mo with white-label and SSO.

Limitations
  • Annual billing only, so there is no month-to-month way to try it.
  • One brand workspace and ten tracked pages at entry — no roster model at any self-serve tier.
  • AI tracking effectively starts at $99, and the entry plan carries no prompt allowance.

Best for writers who live inside a scoring editor and treat AI visibility as a second signal on the same page. Not for an agency reporting across a client list, and not for anyone who needs a monthly contract.

07

Ahrefs Brand RadarBest for SEO teams that want AI share of voice read off a 473M-prompt corpus rather than a synthetic set.

Rung 2 of 7From $129/mo1 user includedGoogle SEO yes

Brand Radar is Ahrefs’ AI visibility module and it inherits what Ahrefs is best at: scale. Share of voice is read off an index of 473 million real prompts rather than a synthetic set, beside the link and keyword data an SEO team already works in. It reports and stops there — a narrower product than SE Ranking’s, and a deeper one.

Ahrefs homepage
Brand Radar sits inside the wider Ahrefs platform, not beside it.
Key features
  • Six indexed surfaces: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.
  • An index of 473M+ real prompts, 312.6M of them AI Overviews, plus custom prompt tracking.
  • Bundled into every Ahrefs plan, so an existing subscriber pays nothing extra for it.
  • Available standalone from $199/mo for teams that do not want the whole suite.
Pricing

Lite $129/mo includes 150 Brand Radar checks and one user. Standard $249/mo includes 300, Advanced $449/mo 600, Enterprise $1,499/mo 2,500 or more. Each prompt is checked daily on one platform, so all six surfaces need a custom package on top. Extra users run $40 to $100/mo; no free trial.

Limitations
  • Checks are the real ceiling: 150 a month on Lite is five prompts on one platform.
  • One user per plan, every extra seat charged, no annual self-serve discount.
  • No recommendations, no content, no publishing — it reports share of voice and stops.

Best for an SEO team that wants AI share of voice measured properly and already pays for Ahrefs. Not for anyone replacing SE Ranking outright — the Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives page covers what it leaves out.

08

Peec AIBest for marketing teams that want AI visibility data clean and exportable and have a separate answer for Google.

Rung 3 of 7From €85/moUnlimited usersGoogle SEO no

Peec is the cleanest pure-analytics product in the category and charges by project rather than by seat, so unlimited users come with the €85 entry plan. Visibility, position and sentiment run daily across three models you choose from a menu of six, with citation tracking that names the pages behind an answer. It covers half of what SE Ranking does, and covers that half better.

Peec AI homepage
Peec AI sells analytics for marketing teams, and stops there.
Key features
  • Unlimited users on every plan, with projects rather than seats as the billing unit.
  • Visibility, position and sentiment daily, with prompts tagged by persona and funnel stage.
  • Citation tracking that names the pages an engine actually pulled from.
  • Data out through CSV, Looker Studio, a REST API and MCP.
Pricing

Starter €85/mo: 50 prompts, three models, one project. Pro €205/mo: 150 prompts, two projects. Advanced €425/mo: 350 prompts, five projects and multi-country. Annual billing takes the three to €70, €180 and €360. Extra models run €30 to €140/mo. Enterprise is on quote.

Limitations
  • No Google organic view at all, so half of an SE Ranking report has no equivalent.
  • Recommendations name sources and gaps; nothing is briefed, drafted or published.
  • Three models per plan below Enterprise, and projects bill separately past five brands.

Best for a marketing team that wants AI visibility data clean and exportable and already has Google covered elsewhere. Not a replacement for SE Ranking — the Peec AI alternatives page lists the tools that carry the work further.

09

Otterly.AIBest for small teams that want to find out whether AI answers mention them before committing a budget.

Rung 3 of 7From $29/moUnlimited membersGoogle SEO not stated

Otterly.AI is the cheapest honest way to find out whether AI answers mention you at all. Lite is $29 a month, seats are unlimited on every plan, and the GEO audit carries three recommendations a week. It is a monitoring product rather than a platform, and priced like one.

Otterly.AI homepage
Otterly names six engines on its homepage; four are included at the entry tier.
Key features
  • Unlimited team members on every plan, including the $29 Lite tier.
  • ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot at entry, three more as add-ons.
  • A GEO audit with three recommendations a week, in plain language.
  • An Agency Partner programme from Standard, with unlimited workspace management.
Pricing

Lite $29/mo covers one workspace and 15 prompts. Standard $189/mo is the first tier with a working prompt set and opens the Agency Partner programme. Enterprise starts at $1,000/mo. Claude, AI Mode and Gemini are paid add-ons rather than included engines.

Limitations
  • Fifteen prompts at Lite is a sample, not a working set — the real entry point is $189.
  • No rank tracking, no site audit, no content production of any kind.
  • Google organic coverage is not stated anywhere in the documentation.

Best for a small team that wants to know whether AI answers mention them before committing a budget to the question. Not for anyone replacing an all-in-one platform: there is no rank tracker, no audit and no content here.

Best by job

One SEO manager covering ten client projects

SE Ranking. Nothing here matches $129 for ten projects with rank tracking, a site audit, AI visibility and a content editor in one login. Stay unless you need a second login without signing an annual contract.

An agency with more writers than budget

Rankability. Unlimited seats on every tier and no per-seat charge anywhere, with briefs and drafts publishing straight to WordPress. Check the three-project limit at Core before switching.

Teams measured on fixes shipped rather than issues found

Amadora AI. Audit findings become applied changes — on-page work, schema and internal-link repairs — with the movement reported beside Google rankings. Unlimited brands and seats from $179/mo, billed monthly.

When SE Ranking is still the right choice

  • You need classic rank-tracking depth: 2,000 keywords checked daily at Core, local and mobile breakdowns, and years of history. We do not track keywords at that volume at any tier, and no GEO-native tool here does.
  • You run local SEO and need grid tracking. SE Ranking has it, we do not, and neither does anything else on this page.
  • Ten projects for $129 is the cheapest per-project rate here. If one person does all the work anyway, the one-seat limit costs nothing.

The execution ladder

The execution ladder is seven steps from measuring an AI visibility problem to proving it was fixed: measure, diagnose, plan, produce, publish, fix, prove. Engine counts and prompt limits miss the thing it captures, which is how much work lands back on your team. Every platform here climbs the same seven steps and each stops somewhere.

Scroll the table sideways

Rung placements reflect what each vendor documents publicly as of 28 August 2026. SE Ranking moves from 3 to 5 and Rankability from 4 to 5: both now publish to WordPress as a shipped feature, which the earlier reading of each missed. Search Atlas is placed at 6 on OTTO’s documented behaviour; its own rung 7 claim needs a trial account to confirm and is not asserted here.

Four of the nine now produce content and publish it, two more than this comparison would have shown in February. SE Ranking is one of them, and any roundup still calling it a rank tracker with an AI tab is describing last year’s product. Where the field thins is rung 6: Search Atlas applies on-page work through OTTO and we apply it through approval-gated agents, while the other seven hand you a list and leave the CMS to you. Rung 7 is narrower again — seven of the nine see the Google half and the AI half, but seeing both is not the same as attributing a change to work you shipped.

Migrating off SE Ranking

Everything that matters exports. Keyword lists, competitor sets, project configuration and the AI prompt list all come out as CSV and paste straight in. Historical rank and visibility data moves in neither direction — each vendor samples on its own schedule and scores on its own scale. Anything the content editor already published stays where it is: it lives in your WordPress install, not in SE Ranking.

Expect first data within twenty-four hours of adding a domain and a usable trend line at about two weeks, so run both for a fortnight before cancelling. Check the billing term first: on annual billing the Agency Pack and the API are tied to that term and will not refund on a mid-term exit. On monthly billing you can leave whenever you like — the same flexibility that stopped you buying client seats in the first place.

Common questions

How much does SE Ranking cost?

SE Ranking Core is $129/month, or $103.20 billed annually, with ten projects and one manager seat (vendor pricing page, August 2026). Growth is $279/month for thirty projects and three seats. The Agency Pack adds ten client seats and white-label reporting for $69/month, and it is sold on annual billing only.

Does SE Ranking track AI search?

Yes, and it is included in Core rather than sold as an add-on: 100 prompts tracked daily across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode. The AI Search add-on at €79/month widens that to 200–1,000 prompts. SE Ranking also sells the same capability standalone as SE Visible, from $99/month.

What is the cheapest SE Ranking alternative?

Otterly.AI at $29/month is the cheapest here, but it tracks 15 prompts and covers AI answers only. Amadora AI’s Starter is $59/month and Search Atlas starts at $99. None of them replaces SE Ranking’s rank tracking and site audit at that price.

What is the best SE Ranking alternative for agencies?

Amadora AI, on the seat unit: unlimited client brands and unlimited seats from $179/month, billed monthly, against one manager seat at Core and $69/month more for ten client seats on annual billing. Rankability matches on seats alone — unlimited on every tier — but starts at $199 for three projects.

Does SE Ranking publish content to WordPress?

Yes. Its Content Marketing tool builds the brief, the AI Writer generates the article, and the WordPress integration publishes it live — the vendor’s wording is “hit publish and watch your content go live instantly.” Core includes 25 articles a month and Growth 50, with extras from €39.20 each.

Can I move my projects from SE Ranking to another tool?

Keyword lists, competitor sets and prompt lists all export as CSV and paste into Amadora AI, Semrush or Peec AI without rework. Historical rank and visibility data does not transfer either way, because each vendor samples on its own schedule. Expect a usable trend line about two weeks after the switch.

Is SE Ranking’s Agency Pack worth it?

It is worth it if you already bill annually and need client logins: $69/month buys ten client seats, unlimited white-labelled reports and the Lead Generator. It buys no AI features, a common confusion. On monthly billing it cannot be bought at all, which is the constraint most agencies hit first.
